Minolite Product Range

Our Minolite products help architects and engineers to improve the performance of their lightweight concrete and reduce the need for plastic additives.
Aggregates make up 60-80% of the concrete mix. They provide compressive strength and bulk, as well as other performance attributes, to the concrete formulation. In many applications, engineers and architects look for lightweight aggregates to allow them to  meet their challenging design requirements.
Glassolite has developed a range of best-in-class Minolit fillers allowing engineers greater design and performance flexibility, as well as cost efficiency. These aggregates can be used in many different concrete applications.

Spray Concrete Filler

Minolite CA 2-8

Minolite™ CA is a rounded lightweight filler.

Key Performance Characteristics:

  • Resistance to crushing 6.2 N/mm2

  • Water absorption 4.4% by volume

  • Smooth and matt surface texture

  • Uniform cell distribution

  • Low thermal conductivity

  • No alkali reactivity

Liquid Mortar Filler

Minolite CM 0.3-2.0

Minolite™ CM is designed as performance micro fillers for liquid mortar, based on recycled glass.

Key Performance Characteristics:

  • Particle density 390g/l

  • Resistance to crushing 2.9 N/mm2 

  • Water absorption 3% by volume

  • Sealed cell structure

  • High dimensional stability

  • High temperature resistance

  • Range from 0.3 mm – 2.0 mm

Artificial Turf Filler

Minolite TI 1-2

Minolite™ TI, a performance filler for artificial turf based on recycled glass waste from Norwegian households to replace the use of rubber crumb. It contains no microplastics, it's non toxic in contact with ground water and it acts as a soil improvement product when released into nature. The filler can be re-used, recycled or upcycled into other products in a circular economy.
Minolite TI has passed the FIFA Performance test Pro, but has still not passed the FIFA extended wear test.




Our Minolite products have been designed to replace the use of plastic fillers, for instance in the artificial turf and concrete industry, hence reducing the risk of micro plastic leakage into the nature.
There is no product waste during the production of our products. All production waste is re-cycled and re-processed into prime product.
Where the application allows, our products can be re-used, re-cycled and re-processed to support the circular economy. If any product ends up in land-fill, it poses no threat of negative environmental impact as all are inert and tested, ensuring no harmful leakages occur.

Charles Churet


Charles spent 32 years at Dow Chemical. In 2008, he acquired distressed assets from Dow and grew the business organically and through multiple acquisitions, creating Axson. In 2015, Axson was sold to Sika AG and PPG. Charles now oversees Oyat Invest AG, his family office engaging into numerous financial and non-financial activities including private equity.

Finn Erik Solvang

Founder & CEO

Finn Erik founded Glassolite Group in 2014 and he currently holds the position as CEO and Executive Director. He has been involved in developing technology for the sports and geothermal industries.  Finn Erik holds an Executive Master in Innovation and Commercialization and a Master of Commerce/Business Studies from BI Norwegian Business School.

Marco Levi

Executive Director

Marco has over thirty years’ experience in the Chemicals, Plastics and Specialty Paper industries. He most recently served the Ahlstrom Corporation as Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Marco served Styron Corporation as Senior Vice President of Emulsion Polymers and The Dow Chemical Company covering various business leadership roles for twenty-two years.
